What happend to the moulding?

I had no idea my bedroom windows were going to get in the way of the moulding. I would have gone with just two windows. I still can't believe they just . . . stopped. The window is SO close to the frickin ceiling that we had to drill a hole into the ceiling so we could run a curtain rod thru it.
